¿No te pone a pensar?

How to win the Mexican Lotery

Let's start with the basics, you pick 6 numbers from 56 availables.

The different combinatios is obtained by:

56 x 55 x 54 x 53 x 52 x 51

Which give us the result:

1 in 23,377,273,920 posibilities

Now, according with the census there's 112,336,538 mexicans. Let's imagine that each of them buy a ticket and everybody picks a different number.

By law an underage can't buy a ticket and according with the census 50% of the population is under 26 years, accepting that each one of the mexicans buy a different number than the rest is a huge guess.

The next steps is dividing the number of combinations with the number of mexicans.

23,377,273,920 / 112,336,538 = 208.10035...

There's two contests every week, that's 104 contests by year. So now we now that ther'es 1 chance in 208 that one of the mexicans have the winner ticket, that's one in every 208 contests, in another words, one every two years.

I'd seen that in this contests there's a winner every 2 or 3 months. Sometimes more, sometimes less.

It doesn't make you think? I remember you I make a guess where NOBODY picked the same number and EVERYBODY bought a ticket and even like this theres a single winner every two years.

My main hypothesis is that NOBODY get the right number ever and from here I have new questions... There's a fake winner and the price is lost somewhere? Or maybe there's actually a winner, a "made" winner but it's handpicked from the bought tickets. So periodically a price is released.

Do you have any hypothesis? Do you believe in the honesty of the contest?
